Terms and Conditions for Dishora

1. Introduction

Welcome to Dishora ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dishora mobile application (the "App") and any related services. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Dishora is an AI-powered cooking application that generates recipes from the ingredients you have or from photos, lets you scan and save recipes, and lets you share recipes with the community. Dishora is operated by Blue Peak Software Solutions.

2. Description of Service

2.1 Core Features

  • AI recipe generation from a list of ingredients or from a photo of a dish or ingredients.
  • Recipe scanning from a photo of an existing recipe.
  • Recipe management: save favorites and build a personal collection.
  • Community sharing: publish recipes that other users can view, favorite, and share, shown with your author name.
  • Personalization: theme and language (English/Spanish) settings.

2.2 Data Storage

User accounts, recipes, and images are stored securely using Appwrite cloud infrastructure. Recipe generation is powered by Google's Gemini generative AI service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must create an account to use the App.
  • Required information includes your email address, full name, and username. A profile picture and date of birth are optional.

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3.3 Eligibility and Minimum Age (Sworn Declaration)

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the App.
  • During registration you are required to check a box declaring, under oath (as a sworn declaration), that you are 18 years of age or older. By checking that box you make a binding representation and warranty that this is true.
  • You may optionally provide your date of birth in account settings. If the date of birth you provide indicates you are under 18, it contradicts your declaration, and we may reject the change and/or suspend or terminate your account.
  • Users under 18 are not permitted to use the App.

4. User-Generated Content and Conduct

4.1 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of the recipes, text, and images you create.
  • By publishing content in the App, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating and providing the App and its community features.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have the rights to submit it.

4.2 Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Behavior

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to submit, publish, or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, violent, sexual, discriminatory, deceptive, or otherwise objectionable, and not to harass, threaten, or abuse other users.

4.3 Moderation, Reporting, and Enforcement

  • We apply automated content-safety filtering to AI inputs and outputs.
  • The App provides tools to report objectionable content and to block abusive users.
  • We review reports and will remove objectionable content and eject users who engage in abusive behavior, typically within 24 hours of a valid report.
  • We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion to enforce these Terms.

4.4 Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the App or its security.
  • Upload malicious code, or attempt to defeat content-safety controls.
  • Use the App to generate content that violates Section 4.2.
  • Share your account credentials or impersonate others.

5. AI-Generated Content and Food Safety Disclaimer

  • Recipes and their details (ingredients, steps, cooking time, difficulty, servings, and calorie estimates) are generated by artificial intelligence and provided for informational purposes only.
  • We make no warranty as to the accuracy, safety, completeness, or suitability of any recipe. You are responsible for verifying ingredients for allergens and for safe food handling and cooking.
  • Dishora does not provide medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Consult a qualified professional for such needs.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The App and all of its content, features, and functionality (excluding user-generated content) are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Termination

8.1 By You

  • You may delete your account at any time from within the App or via our web page. See the Account Deletion Guide.

8.2 By Us

  • We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms or to protect the App and its users, with reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 "As Is"

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SAFE.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING ANY RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED RECIPES.

10. Updates and Modifications

  • We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are provided on a neutral, international basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, they are governed by the laws applicable at the place of business of Blue Peak Software Solutions, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and without depriving you of the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede prior agreements.
