Last updated: August 8, 2026
1. Introduction
This guide explains how to delete your Dentyco account and what happens to your data when you do. We respect your right to control your personal information and have made the process simple and transparent.
Dentyco is operated by Blue Peak Software Solutions.
2. How to Delete Your Account
2.1 From the App — Patients
- Open Dentyco and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Scroll to the Delete account section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm in the warning dialog. The action is irreversible.
2.2 From the App — Professionals
- Open Dentyco and sign in.
- Go to Profile settings.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account and confirm. The action is irreversible.
2.3 From the Web
If you cannot access the App, email hello@bluepeaksoftwaresolutions.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my Dentyco account". We will verify your identity and process the request.
2.4 What Happens Next
- Deletion runs immediately: your session ends and access is permanently blocked.
- You will receive a confirmation at your registered email address.
- Backup purging completes within 30 days.
3. What Happens to Your Data
3.1 Immediate Actions
- Your identifying personal data (name, email, phone, address, biography, profile picture and banner image, date of birth) is irreversibly deleted or replaced with anonymous values.
- Your email address and, on professional accounts, your license number are released and can be used again.
- Access is blocked: it is not possible to sign in with that account again.
- If you were a professional, your public profile stops being displayed and no longer appears in searches.
- Your upcoming appointments are cancelled and the professional or patient involved is notified.
3.2 Permanent Deletion (within 30 days)
- Your profile data and preferences.
- Your profile and banner images.
- Your devices' push notification tokens.
- Backups containing that information are rotated and deleted.
3.3 What Is Retained and Why
- Clinical records, evolutions, odontogram, treatment plans, imaging studies, and recorded payments: retained detached from your identity. The treating professional has a legal duty to keep the clinical record for the periods set by the health regulations of their jurisdiction, and that duty survives your leaving the App. The records are anonymized: they are no longer associated with your name, email, or phone number.
- Chat messages: messages already delivered remain in the other participant's conversation, much like a sent email. Your display name is replaced with an anonymous identifier.
- Accounting and audit logs: retained where the law requires it or to prevent fraud and abuse, for a maximum of 12 months.
This approach — irreversible deletion of personal data, anonymized retention of the clinical record — satisfies both your right to erasure and the professional's legal duty to preserve the clinical record.
4. Before You Delete Your Account
Please note:
- The action cannot be undone. Neither the account nor its content can be recovered.
- If you are a professional, your patients will lose access to the shared schedule and to messaging with you. Let them know in advance.
- If you want a copy of your information before deleting it, request it at hello@bluepeaksoftwaresolutions.com and we will send it before proceeding.
5. If You Only Want to Stop Receiving Notifications
You do not need to delete your account: you can turn notifications off from Notification settings inside the App, or from your device's system settings.
