Account Deletion Guide for Dishora

1. Introduction

This guide explains how to delete your Dishora account and what happens to your data when you do. We respect your right to control your personal information and have made the deletion process straightforward and transparent.

2. How to Delete Your Account

2.1 From the Mobile App

  1. Open the Dishora app on your device.
  2. Go to Settings — tap the settings option in your profile.
  3. Open Account settings — find the "Account" or "Profile" section.
  4. Select Delete Account.
  5. Confirm — you will be asked to confirm your decision.
  6. Confirm final deletion — your account and its data will be scheduled for permanent deletion.

2.2 From the Web

If you cannot access the App, you can request deletion from this page. Email hello@bluepeaksoftwaresolutions.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my Dishora account", and we will verify your identity and process the request.

2.3 What Happens Next

  • Your request is processed immediately and your account is deactivated.
  • You will receive a confirmation at your registered email address.
  • Permanent deletion completes within 30 days.

3. What Happens to Your Data

3.1 Immediate Actions

  • Your account is deactivated and you can no longer sign in.
  • Recipes you published are removed from the community.

3.2 Permanent Deletion (within 30 days)

  • All personal information (name, email, username, date of birth, profile picture).
  • Your recipes, favorites, and uploaded images.
  • Your preferences and settings.

3.3 Data Retention Exceptions

Limited data may be retained where required:

  • Legal obligations: Data needed to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
  • Anonymized/aggregated data: Information that cannot be associated with you may be retained for service improvement.
  • AI provider: Prompts and photos previously sent to the Gemini AI service are handled under Google's applicable terms (see the Privacy Policy) and are not within our systems to delete once processed.

4. Important Considerations

4.1 Back Up First

Once your account is permanently deleted, we cannot recover your data. Before deleting, save any recipes you wish to keep.

4.2 Subscriptions and Purchases

If you have any active subscription or purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, manage or cancel them through the respective store; deleting your Dishora account does not automatically cancel store-level subscriptions.

5. Reversing Account Deletion

5.1 30-Day Grace Period

Within 30 days of your request you may contact hello@bluepeaksoftwaresolutions.com to cancel the deletion. We will verify your identity and restore your account if the request is made within that period.

5.2 After 30 Days

Deletion becomes permanent and irreversible. You will need to create a new account to use Dishora again.
